Mike Ferring’s practice includes civil litigation and dispute resolution principally in the areas of construction, government contract issues, real estate, and employment. He has substantial experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation and has represented clients in major cases such as the sinking of the Lake Washington Floating Bridge, the Washington State Convention Center Expansion and construction of the new Seattle Central Library.

Before entering private practice, he worked for the Corps of Engineers, as district counsel in Seattle, and in St. Paul, Minnesota. As counsel for the Corps, he worked in all areas of government contracting, including bid protests, contract claims, and appeals before the Boards of Contract Appeals. He left the Corps to become in-house general counsel to S.J. Groves and Sons, a major construction company.

He represented Groves in contract negotiations, claim preparation, and dispute resolution on projects at federal, state, and local levels, in all areas of the country. He also serves as an arbitrator, mediator, and dispute review board member for the Washington and Idaho Departments of Transportation. He has lectured for the Washington State Bar, and is an instructor on contract administration for the Corps of Engineers. He is admitted to practice in Washington, Minnesota, and Nebraska. He graduated from Creighton University School of Law.

 

Daniel D. DeLue is a partner at Ferring DeLue LLP. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on construction, civil rights, employment, plaintiff's litigation, as well as general business law and administration. Dan is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the King County Bar Association and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in all Washington State Courts, the United States Court of Appeals-9th Circuit, and the United States District Court of Washington. Daniel DeLue is experienced in trials and settlements in both state and federal courts.

Dan graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with honors in the areas of political science and history. He then went to law school at University of Washington and graduated in 1999. Dan currently lives in Seattle, and spends his free time skiing and mountaineering.
